Whoa Sock Summit

Back from Sock Summit after an amazing 4 days with 'my people.' Highlights include class with Cat Bordhi, an Opening Reception to remember and Barbara Walker knitting on my wedding veil. Many, many more details are to come as I process my thoughts on the past four days and upload photos.

All in all it was a pretty cool experience and I'm so glad I decided to go in the end. There is something about spending many hours with people who don't think it's weird to crouch down to admire someone's socks that is very affirming.

That is such a great idea to have people knit on your wedding veil. And Barbara Walker? So cool!

It's going to be hard to go back to real life tomorrow...

That was a cool idea to have them all work on that item-I-will-not-name, wasn't it? ;-)

Can't wait to hear all your stories -- and see your haul! Thursday?

I'm pretty thrilled to learn that you have cast-on for an argyle sock. You will need something to knit on besides the wedding veil, that's for sure. Boy, those rounds are getting pretty long! It was an honor to knit on it, and I look forward to following your progress on these projects. Don't hesitate to call for help if you get stuck on the argyle. We covered a lot of information FAST!
